last words
I was driving back from J. C. cubed (JCCC) today and called my dad to chat. Here's what followed:
Dad: Hey, whatcha doing?
Me: Just driving back from Johnson County. I bought my books today.
Dad: How was that?
Me: Eh, I did what I came to do.
At this point the call was lost. This happens frequently on the Kansas Autobahn known as K-10. There's lots of valleys known for stealing unsuspecting drivers' cell phone reception. Eventually, I call my dad back and he says:
"I'm glad you called back. I was afraid you were in a car accident and your last words were 'Eh, I did what I came to do.' Although that could be fitting to say before you die, that would be a really wierd story for me to tell at your funeral."
