the gentlemen adventurers

Let me just say that Waterdeep is the coolest. Saturday I spent the day in Kansas City with Steph, baby Aubrey, Janon, and Laura B. These girls are great, I love them. After an awesome day at the plaza (complete with a trip to the Cheesecake Factory--yum!) we made our way down to the Westport rightCoffeehouse Theater. Don Chaffer (of Waterdeep) was putting on a concert with his new band The Gentlemen Adventurers. These guys rock. I was super impressed with their song lyrics, but even more impressed with their funky jam sessions they had in between songs. So good! Anyhoo, they were also joined by Gerram Mathews, and it turns out, he rocks too! I mean, how can you not like a guy when one of his CD's is called "Five O’clock Charlie and the Lost Art of the High Five"? Awesome.

To top it all off I bought the Waterdeep Worship album "You are so Good to Me." This is an amazing song, so that's what I leave you with now:

You are so good to me
You heal my broken heart
You are my Father in heaven
You ride upon the clouds
You lead me to the truth
You are the Spirit inside me
You poured out all your blood
You died upon the cross
You are my Jesus who loves me
You are beautiful my sweet, sweet, song
I will sing again
You are my strong melody
You are my dancing rhythm
You are my perfect rhyme
And I want to sing forever
